Yang nature : kind, mercy, unselfish

Yin nature : rude, stubborn

2) Middle finger – Fire (red) – Heart, Tongue – Heeeee (He)

Stand relaxed, feet one shoulder width, lift arms up at side of body, breathing in though nose, bring arms down, emitting sound – Heeeeeeeee.  Eyes follow movement of hands.

Illness – fever, bad breath

Yang nature : trust, complacent, open-minded

Yin nature : doubt, greed, confused

3) Ring finger – Earth (yellow) – Spleen, Stomach – Hooooo (Hu)

Stand relaxed, feet one shoulder width, eyes relaxed, looking at 45 degrees.  Breath in through nose and exhale through mouth, emitting sound – hoooooo.

Illness : slow metabolism, indigestion

Yang nature : forgiving, sincere, compromise

Yin nature : suspicious, self-centred

4) Index finger – Metal (white) – Lungs, Skin – Ssssssss (Sz)

Stand with feet one shoulder width, hands at chest with elbows out, teeth clenched.   Breath in through nose and out through clenched teeth, emitting sound – sssssssssssss.  

Illness : dermatitis, consumption, abscess

Yang nature : generous, bright, trust

Yin nature : jealous, cunning

5) Pinkie – Water (black) – Kidneys, ears – chiway (Chiu)

Bend knees, clasping shins with crossed hands.   Feet together. Head up.   Breath in through nose, force breath out through clenched teeth, emitting sound – chiway.

Illness : chills, ear-ache

Yang nature : peacefull, tender, wise

Yin nature : arrogant, ignorant, trouble

6) Triple warmer – oesophagus, stomach, urethra – sheeeee (Hsi)

Stand relaxed totally, looking 45 degrees, breath in through nose, out through mouth, emitting sound – sheeeeee. Vibrate against palette.

Illness – poor circulation, general wellbeing
